Osterman's goal is to make U.S. National Team

AUSTIN, Texas -- Cat Osterman, who led the University of Texas to a third-place finish in last year's College Softball World Series, will skip the college season next year while trying to make the U.S. Olympic team.

She was named Monday as one of 18 members of the U.S. National Team. Of the 18, 15 will be nominated to represent the United States at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. The U.S. women's softball team won the 2000 Olympics.
