Cal's Coughlin frontrunner in three events

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Three-time NCAA Swimmer of the Year Natalie Coughlin of California and two-time defending champion Auburn are favored to repeat as champions in the NCAA women's swimming and diving championships that open Thursday at Texas A&M.

Coughlin is the three-time national champion and American and NCAA record holder in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke.
