Michigan extends Red Berenson, 72

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan will keep its hockey legend on the sidelines for at least a few more years.

Michigan hockey coach Red Berenson, 72, agreed to a three-year contract extension Monday through the 2015-16 season, ensuring the Sasketchewan native's presence in Ann Arbor through his 75th birthday and for more than 30 years at the school.
