NCAA suspends 2 rules changes
INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA's board of directors is suspending two recruiting rules changes that were passed two months ago.
Citing an outcry from colleges over the impact on recruits and their families, the board decided to shelve new legislation that deregulated which staff members can perform recruiting tasks and what printed materials can be sent to recruits. Suspended rules do not take effect until modifications are made.
