Richmond hires Tracy Woodson

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond has hired former major leaguer Tracy Woodson as its new baseball coach.

Athletic director Keith Gill said Monday in a statement released by the school that Woodson will be introduced on Tuesday.

Woodson is a Richmond native who starred at North Carolina State and played five seasons in the major leagues with the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals. He also spent seven seasons as a manager in the minor leagues, getting as high as Triple A, and the ...
