Wake honors ex-great Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer was at Wake Forest on Friday for the unveiling of a statue in his likeness at the Arnold Palmer Golf Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Palmer starred at Wake, winning NCAA individual titles in 1949 and '50, as well as the first ACC title in '53.

He was joined by other Demon Deacon greats Friday, including the school's longtime former golf coach Jesse Haddock.
