Jessica Shults

Catcher | Oklahoma

It would be enough to merit consideration for a catcher to rank in the top 35 nationally in slugging percentage and the top 25 nationally in RBIs, as Shults did in 2011 for the Sooners. But to do that while dealing with a medical condition, pan ulcerative colitis, that cost her the postseason and hospitalized her for 10 days is truly remarkable. Healthy, Shults is one of the college game's most vibrant personalities behind the plate and one of its best hitters in the batter's box.
