Brian Johnson

Left-handed pitcher/Outfield | Florida

Hold on to your hyperbole, people, because Johnson is the best two-way star for the Gators since Brad Wilkerson nearly eliminated 1998 national champion USC in Omaha. In a team overflowing with talent, the strapping southpaw could be the first Gator taken in the upcoming draft, depending on how well his curveball continues to develop alongside his low-90s heat. How clutch is this guy? He hit better in SEC play (.330) than he did overall.

2011 stats: .307 avg., 5 HRs, 29 RBIs | 8-3 W-L, 3.62 ERA

Coach Kevin O'Sullivan: "Brian has proven to be a great two-way threat for us during his career, in our weekend rotation and at the plate."
