WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Defensive end Trent Harris (Winter Park, Fla./Winter Park) originally was set to announce his college destination before his spring game on Thursday night, but an offer from Ohio State caused the talented pass-rusher to delay his decision.

The 6-foot-2, 230-pound athlete said he just decided to enjoy the process and slow things down.

When 2015 defensive tackle T.D. Moton (Shreveport, La./Calvary Baptist Academy) picked up an offer from Georgia on Thursday, he thought about of a lot of things. He thought about the program’s five national championships and 12 SEC titles. He thought about quarterback Aaron Murray and defensive lineman John Jenkins, two figureheads for the Bulldogs.

Those are names of the present. What first caught Moton’s mind upon getting the offer was a Bulldog of the past -- a player some consider the greatest to put on a Georgia uniform.

After next week, off-campus evaluations will cease until Aug. 1.During the next two months, colleges, including the University of Georgia, will attempt to get prospects on campus for instructional camps that provide an opportunity to evaluate and recruit top prospects. Yesterday, DawgNation took a look at 10 prospects who could commit to Georgia. Today, we discuss five targets the Bulldogs’ coaching staff are going to have to work hard to have a legitimate shot at signing in the 2014 recruiting cycle.

Christian Miller (Spring Valley, S.C./Spring Valley) does not feel like he rushed into his decision when he committed to Florida in February. He does, however, admit it might have been wise to see a few more places. While Miller felt comfortable being part of the Gators’ 2014 class, he did not want any regrets about the decision.

The decision to decommit came after being upfront with Florida coaches about his desires.

That is not to say Miller, the No. 76 prospect in the country, wants the Gators to stop recruiting him. His father spoke to Florida coach Will Muschamp who informed him that Christian is still one of their top guys, they still want him to be a Gator and they do not think anything has changed.

As we approach the end of the spring evaluation period, the University of Georgia appears to be in great shape to land several top prospects in 2014. DawgNation takes a look at 10 targets that could end up listed in the Bulldogs’ commitment list before all is said and done.

DT Lamont Gaillard (Fayetteville, N.C./Pine Forest)
The Bulldogs are the outright leaders for the No. 10 prospect in the country, taking the top spot from Florida after a miscommunication in April with the Gators’ coaching staff led to them getting eliminated from consideration. Schools such as Clemson, LSU and South Carolina could get visits from Gaillard in the next two months, as he is looking to see if any program can shock him and overtake Georgia. But the Bulldogs are likely to get a return visit from the five-star defensive lineman, and a possible summer decision could give Georgia its first five-star commitment in the class.

CB Malkom Parrish (Quitman, Ga./Brooks County)
After two visits to Atlanta, Parrish had Georgia Tech in the lead. The only thing is, at the time those were the only two college visits on which the ESPN 150 athlete had been. A trip to Athens earlier this month shook things up, and now both in-state programs are battling it out for Parrish. His desire to play cornerback in college could give the Bulldogs an advantage over their rivals. Parrish hopes to decide before the end of the summer.
