Big Ten Gets Caught in Middle

Day 1 belonged to the mid-majors, writes ESPN.com's Andy Katz, who beat up on the Big Ten. Ohio State, Wisconsin and Indiana were all upset in the NCAA Tournament. In the West, the Buckeyes lost to 12th-seeded Utah State, while the Hoosiers fell to Kent State. Wisconsin, meanwhile, fell to Georgia State in the West.

Knight Storms into Lubbock
Who says controversy follows Bob Knight? Sometimes, it precedes him. A group of faculty members at Texas Tech signed a petition urging the school not to hire Knight, who arrived in Lubbock on Thursday and said he could enjoy coaching there.
