BEAVERTON, Ore. -- The Opening will signal the end of the recruiting process for Jody Fuller
The 6-foot, 206-pound four-star wide receiver from Indian Trail (N.C.) High School will announce his college decision during events on Friday at Nike World Headquarters. ESPNU will air The Opening at 9 p.m. ET.
The nation's No. 22 wide receiver said he is considering Miami, Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
So has Fuller made his decision already?
"Sort of," he said. "Kind of, you know. I'll find out tomorrow."
Whether that answer originated from being coy or true uncertainty is unclear. But he does know what he's looking for and what he likes about his finalists.
South Carolina: "Where they're going and where they can be. Coach [Steve] Spurrier and Coach [Steve] Spurrier Jr., [running backs Coach [Jay] Graham and the relationship I have with those guys."
Virginia Tech: "They're one of the best in the ACC every year. They win championships."
Tennessee: "It's a good program. They look like they're coming up on the rise."
Miami: "The coaching staff are NFL coaches mostly."
Then it was time for more uncertainty -- or coyness -- when Fuller was asked if distance from home would be a factor.
"That really hasn't been a factor in my decision -- staying close to home," he said. "Maybe. I don't know."
