  RECAP | BOX SCORE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Keith Bogans scored a career-high 26 points and Tayshaun Prince added 20 as Kentucky beat Indiana 88-74 on Friday night at Freedom Hall.

Bogans and Prince were a combined 18-of-24 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range, as the Wildcats (4-5) snapped a two-game losing streak and avenged last season's 83-75 loss to the Hoosiers at the RCA Dome.

Kirk Haston scored 18 points and freshman Jared Jeffries added 16 for the Hoosiers (7-5), who lost their second in a row after putting together five straight victories.

Kentucky shot a season-best 68.9 percent (31-of-45) from the field and outrebounded Indiana 30-20.

Indiana forced 22 Kentucky turnovers but went only 4-of-16 from 3-point range and 18-of-29 from the free-throw line.

Indiana led by only a point at halftime and increased the lead to 43-40 on Jeffries' inside basket less than two minutes into the second half.

A 15-2 Kentucky run, capped by a two-handed dunk by Marvin Stone and a long 3-pointer by Prince, put the Wildcats back on top 55-45 and forced an Indiana timeout with 14:17 to play.

Bogans and Marquis Estill hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put Kentucky up 73-57 and force another Indiana timeout with 5:45 left.

Kentucky led by as many as 17, 78-61, with 3:49 to play. Indiana closed to 82-72 on Andre Owens' three-point play with 1:39 remaining, but the Hoosiers would get no closer.

Stone scored 13 points and freshman Gerald Fitch added 10 in his first career start for Kentucky. Owens added 10 points for the Hoosiers.

Fitch scored six of Kentucky's first 10 points as the Wildcats jumped out to an early 10-2 lead. Haston then scored eight of the Hoosiers' next 12 to tie it at 14.

Dane Fife's 3-pointer gave Indiana its largest lead of the half, 25-21, with 6:22 to play. A pair of 3-pointers by Bogans sparked a 10-2 run to put Kentucky back on top 31-27 with 3:20 remaining.

Indiana closed out the half with an 8-3 run to take a 37-36 halftime lead.

Kentucky committed 14 first-half turnovers but hit 57 percent (12-of-21) from the field and outrebounded Indiana 17-9 to stay in the game.
