BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) _ Kirk Haston scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half and Jared Jeffries got all of his 15 in the first half as Indiana beat Penn State 77-69 Wednesday night. Haston also had 13 rebounds, giving him his seventh double-double of the season. The Hoosiers (11-7, 2-2 Big Ten) led 40-22 at halftime, but Penn State opened the second half with an 8-0 run. Haston and Tom Coverdale then combined for 17 of the first 20 second-half points for the Hoosiers and sparked their own 8-0 run, which allowed Indiana to regain control. The Hoosiers held Joe Crispin, the Big Ten's leading scorer at 23 points per game, to just two points and no field goals in the first half. He finished with 10 points for the Nittany Lions (11-4, 2-3). Gyassi-Cline Heard led Penn State with 23 points, including a 3-pointer that got Penn State within 75-67 with 20 seconds left.
