COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) _ Brian Grawer scored 18 points on six 3-pointers in his home finale as Missouri beat Baylor 69-59 Saturday.

Missouri (18-9, 9-5 Big 12) is 4-2 without Kareem Rush, the Big 12's leading scorer. Rush, who had surgery for ligament damage to his left thumb earlier this month, could return to the lineup wearing a protective splint Monday at Texas.

Grawer, a senior guard, has averaged 17 points in Rush's absence and was 6-for-14 against Baylor (16-9, 5-9) _ all of the shots from long range. Grawer, who extended his school record for 3-pointers to 197, entered the game averaging nine points.

Rush, who practiced twice earlier this week, watched in street clothes from the bench. His cast was removed Friday.

Arthur Johnson added 11 points and 10 rebounds, his sixth double-double of the season. Missouri had a 39-28 rebounding advantage.

Clarence Gilbert and Rickey Paulding added 11 points apiece for the Tigers, who are 13-1 at the Hearnes Center after taking their first home loss to Oklahoma on Monday.

Demarcus Minor had 12 points, six rebounds and five assists for Baylor, which is 1-5 on the road in conference play. Terry Black, who averages 16 points, had his second straight sub-par offensive game with 12 points.

Black was held to seven points in a loss to Texas on Wednesday.

Eight first-half 3-pointers, four of them by Grawer, helped Missouri take a 38-25 lead at the break. Grawer was 4-for-7 from long range and the Tigers were 8-for-17 overall.

The Tigers also outrebounded Baylor 25-15 in the half and led by 19 points at 31-12 after Paulding scored on a follow shot with 7:26 to go.

Baylor cut the gap to seven on a 3-pointer by Greg Davis, who had 11 points, with 14:14 to go. Missouri then outscored Baylor 14-4 over the next four minutes, including two 3-pointers by Grawer and one by Gilbert, to regain control at 59-43.

Missouri has won four of its last five against Baylor.
