CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) _ Frederick House scored a career-high 30 points and Jeff Monaco added 27 points and eight assists as Southern Utah beat Oral Roberts 91-73 on Saturday.

With the win, Southern Utah (22-5, 13-3 Mid-Continent Conference) clinched a tie with Valparasio for the Mid-Continent Conference title.

Luke Spencer-Gardner led Oral Roberts (8-18, 5-11) with 21 points, including five three-pointers.

Playing in their final home game, House and Monaco scored 20 of Southern Utah's first 24 points, as the Thunderbirds jumped to a 24-13 lead and led 43-37 at halftime.

Spencer-Gardner made two 3-pointers early in the second half, sparking a 17-10 run and Oral Roberts took a 54-53 lead when Markius Barnes made his third layup of the spurt with 14:01 left.

Monaco and House took over the game during the next five minutes. After two free throws by Dan Beus, Monaco scored seven straight points on a layup off a steal, two free throws and a 3-pointer from the top of the key.

House sandwiched two more layups around a three-point play by Monaco, and Monaco assisted House on an alley-oop dunk that capped an 18-0 run, giving the T-Birds a 71-54 lead with 8:52 to play.
