PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ David Hawkins had 15 points as Temple overcame a 14-point second-half deficit to gain a 60-58 victory over La Salle on Wednesday night.

Four starters scored in double figures for the Owls (17-12, 11-4 Atlantic 10), who have won three in a row and six of their last seven. Alex Wesby had 14, Kevin Lyde had 11 points and 13 rebounds and Lynn Greer added 11. Temple's five starters played all but one minute of the contest, as Wesby came out of the game briefly in the first half.

Rasul Butler scored 22 points and Victor Thomas had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Explorers (10-16, 4-11), who have now lost four in a row overall and 10 straight against the Owls.

Temple was down by as many as 14 in the second half and trailed 53-40 on a follow slam by Garrett Bragg. The Owls then scored 19 of the next 21 points, taking their first lead when Wadley made two free throws with 4:42 left to give them a 57-55 advantage.
