Medcalf: It's hard to appreciate Simmons on a bubble team

Ben Simmons couldn't rally LSU past South Carolina, despite another game showcasing his unique skills. It's difficult to appreciate what Simmons can do, since he's spending his only season of college hoops on a bubble team.

Notre Dame might not be as good as last season, but still a team that will be a tough out in the NCAA tournament. They can really, really score. Most efficient offense in the country. Demetrius Jackson is impossible to keep out of the lane, they have good perimeter shooters and scorers around him, plus Zach Auguste is solid inside and Bonzie Colson is a glue guy. Three road games coming up could be telling, though.
