Brandon Austin heading to Oregon

Providence transfer Brandon Austin is headed to Oregon.

Austin, who decided to leave the Friars midway through the season after being suspended for an off-court incident, has decided to head west instead of transferring to a school closer to his home in Philadelphia.

Austin is a 6-foot-6 wing who was a top 100 player coming out of high school. Providence coach Ed Cooley was extremely optimistic about Austin's future in the Big East, but the school suspended both he and fellow freshman ...
