Forward won't be eligible until second semester

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Forward Danny Granger was cleared by the NCAA to play for the New Mexico basketball team next season, following his transfer from Bradley that resulted in rules violations.

Granger quit Bradley's team in January. He is not eligible to play until the second semester because he is required to sit out one full year from the time he transferred.

Granger averaged 19.2 points a game last season.
