Santa Clara hires UCLA's Keating as head coach
SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Santa Clara named UCLA's Kerry Keating its men's basketball coach Friday. He replaces Dick Davey, who is retiring after 15 seasons.
Keating, 35, served as assistant coach at UCLA for four seasons, including the Bruins' back-to-back runs to the Final Four in 2006 and 2007. UCLA posted a 91-41 record during Keating's tenure.
