Hartford coach Leibovitz resigns

Hartford coach Dan Leibovitz resigned with four years left on his contract, he said Tuesday.

Leibovitz said he expects to work again at his alma mater, Penn, where he would be coach Jerome Allen's top assistant. Leibovitz was a longtime assistant at Temple under John Chaney and was the interim coach for the Owls when Chaney was suspended for five games in 2006.
