NCAA investigating Alaska-Fairbanks athletics
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The University of Alaska Fairbanks says the NCAA is investigating six of its athletic programs, including the Division I hockey team.
A university announcement says the NCAA has initiated a major infractions case involving secondary infractions that were self-reported in 2011.
The university says the infractions involve eligibility for 17 athletes over four years.
