Monmouth struggle in 108-56 loss at No. 4 Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Rick Callahan shrugged and smiled. After replacing Monmouth head coach King Rice for one night, Callahan was more than ready to return to his role as an assistant on the Hawks.

Michael Carter-Williams had 15 points and a career-high 16 assists, C.J. Fair had 14 points and 10 rebounds, the second straight double-double for both players, and No. 4 Syracuse beat Monmouth of New Jersey 108-56 on Saturday night.
