Boise State adds years, money to Rice contract
BOISE, Idaho -- Boise State has rewarded coach Leon Rice for posting consecutive 20-win seasons and getting the Broncos to the NCAA tournament last month.
Athletic director Mark Coyle announced a contract extension and pay hike for the third-year coach Wednesday. Rice and the university have agreed in principle to a two-year extension and a $43,000 bump in pay next year, raising his 2014 salary to $482,110. The deal calls for a 3 percent annual raise through 2018.
