Baylor forward Jefferson staying for senior season

WACO, Texas -- Cory Jefferson is staying at Baylor for his senior season.

Jefferson, the 6-foot-9 forward who is on track to get his undergraduate degree in August, said Thursday he will stay and play his final season of eligibility.

After finally becoming a starter, Jefferson led the Big 12 Conference making 61 percent of his field goals (191 of 313) for the NIT champion Bears. He was 11th in the league with 13.3 points a game and fourth with 8.0 rebounds while starting all 37 games.
