Robert Morris Colonials

2012-13: 24-11 (14-4 NEC)
In-conference offense: 1.12 points per possession (3rd)
In-conference defense: 0.99 points per possession (1st)

Robert Morris is as old-school as they come in a conference that wants to run-and-gun. Led by 32-year-old Andrew Toole, the Colonials have become the best defensive team in the conference and are looking to break through and return to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2010. Robert Morris looked like it might have broken through a season ago, going 14-4 and winning the NEC regular-season title. However, a stunning upset at home to Mount St. Mary's in the semifinals sent Toole's team to the NIT, where it pulled out a 59-57 victory over Kentucky.
