Gibbs had only played in two games

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia forward Corey Gibbs will miss the
rest of the season because of a recurring knee problem.

Gibbs, a freshman, was suspended for the first nine games for
making more than $500 from selling textbooks and school supplies,
an NCAA rules violation. He returned and played sparingly in two

Gibbs first injured his knee as a senior in high school. He most
likely will have a third operation on his right knee, coach Dennis
Felton said Monday.

"This is a significant blow to our team," Felton said. "But
I'm more concerned about Corey going through such a frustrating
period in his athletic career."
