One weekend of the 2009-10 NCAA men's basketball season was not enough to affect the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll.
The top 12 teams in the rankings, led by No. 1 Kansas, remained as they were in the preseason poll. In fact, only one team -- Mississippi State, fell out of the rankings, replaced by Illinois. Every team in the top 25 is unbeaten.
Kansas is also No. 1 in the Associated Press poll released Monday.
Kansas, Michigan State, Texas, North Carolina and Kentucky remain the top five -- the Tar Heels are 3-0, while the other four teams are 1-0. Villanova, Purdue, Duke, West Virginia and Butler round out the top 10. All are 1-0.
Connecticut and Washington switched places at No. 13 and No. 14 ... with UConn's Huskies climbing ahead of Washington's. Ohio State, which won a pair of games, moved up two spots to No. 15, one ahead of rival Michigan and two ahead of Oklahoma, both of whom fell despite opening-game wins.
