TUSCALOOSA, Alabama (Ticker) -- No. 17 Alabama looks to extend its winning streak to six games Saturday when Southeastern Conference rival Georgia visits the Coleman Coliseum.

The Crimson Tide (16-3, 5-1 SEC) have a 9-0 record at home this season, including a pair of conference victories. They have not lost at home since a season-ending overtime defeat against Mississippi State on March 6, 2004.

On Tuesday, Alabama completed a two-game road trip with a 60-55 victory at intrastate rival Auburn.

Earnest Shelton scored 22 points with five 3-pointers and Kennedy Winston added 16 with four 3-pointers for the Crimson Tide, which shot 50 percent (11-of-22) from the arc. Winston and Shelton are co-scoring leaders for Alabama, averaging 17.7 points.

Over the last five games, the Crimson Tide are shooting 50 percent (122-of-246) from the floor while hitting 43 percent (42-of-97) of their 3-pointers.

This season, Alabama's suffocating defense is holding SEC opponents to a mere 58.5 points per game while limiting shooters to just 41 percent - also tops in the league.

Georgia (7-9, 1-5 SEC), which has won five of its last six games in Tuscaloosa, has struggled on the road this season, managing just one win in six games away from Athens. The Bulldogs have lost six of their last seven games, including a 70-47 setback against Florida on Monday. Their 47 points matched a season low.

Leading scorer Levi Stukes, who is expected to play against Alabama, missed the Florida game due to a one-game suspension for violation of team rules.

Sundiata Gaines was the only Georgia player to score in double figures, managing 15 points on 5-of-14 shooting.
