LORETTO, Pa. -- C.J. McCollum had 29 points and nine rebounds, and Lehigh opened the game with a 13-0 run in an 83-67 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.
The Mountain Hawks are 8-2, their best start through 10 games since the 1938-39 season.
McCollum made 8 of 15 from the field and 11 of 11 from the foul line.
The Mountain Hawks dominated the shooting statistics, hitting 50 percent from the floor (25 of 50) to St. Francis' 37.3 percent (22 of 59), 45 percent from beyond the arc (9 of 20) to 32 percent (8 of 25), and 92.3 percent (24 of 26) from the line to 88.2 percent (15 of 17).
Lehigh led 43-28 at the half.
There's nothing to suggest the Jayhawks won't end up atop the Big 12 for a 13th season in a row. But what about a return to the Final Four?
Colorado State graduate transfer John Gillon has chosen Syracuse, giving the Orange a potential starter at point guard entering the 2016-17 season.
DeSean Murray, who averaged 20.2 points as a sophomore at Presbyterian, will transfer to Auburn to play for coach Bruce Pearl.
