POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Lamont Jones scored 26 points, Sean Armand added 19 more and Iona pulled out an 86-82, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory over Marist Thursday night for its fourth straight win.
Jones, who entered fourth in the NCAA with 22.7 points per contest, was 10-of-17 shooting with three 3-pointers, six assists and five rebounds.
Armand, ranked fourth nationally with 57 3-pointers entering Thursday, hit 3 of 7 from beyond the arc as Iona hit 9 of 22 from deep.
The Gaels (10-6, 4-1) dominated inside, outscoring Marist 52-30 from the paint and winning the rebound battle 37-33, with 15 offensive boards.
Marist (4-12, 1-4) has now dropped five straight. Devin Price had 27 points for the Red Foxes, who also got 23 from Chavaughn Lewis and 13 points and 11 rebounds from Adam Kemp for his fourth double-double this year.
Iona has won eight straight and nine of 10 against Marist.
