WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Mark Nwakamma posted his first double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Hartford defeated Boston University for the second time this season, 66-58, on Saturday night to snap a two-game home losing streak.

Wes Cole, who shot a combined 8 of 38 over the Hawks' last five games, scored 10 points on 4 of 6 shooting.

D.J. Irving's free throws cut what was a six-point Hartford lead to two, 21-19. But the Hawks (12-10, 5-4 America East Conference) closed the half on a 15-7 run to take a 36-26 advantage into the break.

The Terriers (11-11, 5-4), who had won three straight, never got any closer than six points in the second half.

Irving led Boston with 14 points but the Terriers were outshot, 51 percent (23 of 45) to 37 percent (21 of 56), and outrebounded 36-27.

Hartford recorded eight steals and five blocks.
