GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Brandan Stith grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds and did not miss a shot on his way to 10 points to lead East Carolina over Virginia Military Institute 103-94 Thursday night.
East Carolina (10-2) won its fourth game in a row and is off to its best start under coach Jeff Lebo.
Stith, East Carolina's leading rebounder, was 4 of 4 from the floor and made both free throw attempts. Stith's tip-in capped a 17-5 run to open the second half and stretch ECU's lead to 66-50.
Rodney Glasgow scored a game-high 25 points and had seven assists to lead VMI (6-5). Glasgow's 3-pointer pulled VMI within nine points, 96-87, but with 2:09 remaining. QJ Peterson added 14 points and six assists for the Keydets.
