POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Chavaughn Lewis had 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Marist to a 69-51 victory over Bucknell on Friday night.
Marist (2-9) opened the game on a 16-0 run and held Bucknell to just five field goals in the first half. The Red Foxes led 34-18 at the break and opened the second half with an 8-0 run. They led by no less than 14 points the rest of the way.
Bucknell (5-5) missed its first six shots and turned the ball over four times before Cameron Ayers scored the Bison's first points of the game on a 3-pointer with 12:36 left in the half.
Marist ended Bucknell's three-game winning streak in the all-time series and won its second game in a row after a nine-game losing streak to open the season.
