LOS ANGELES -- Brandon Perry scored a season-high 22 points on 7-of-8 shooting, and CS Northridge cruised to a 93-63 victory Tuesday night over NAIA opponent San Diego Christian.
Stephan Hicks added 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Trevone Williams had 13 points for the Matadors (8-3), who led 51-32 at halftime and kept stretching their advantage in the second half. The final score was Northridge's largest lead.
Northridge, which came in ranked 11th in the nation in free-throw percentage (78.8 percent), was just 22 of 33 from the line Tuesday but shot 53 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Hawks 49-32. The Matadors scored 27 points off 19 Hawks turnovers.
CS Northridge beat San Diego Christian 95-68 last season in the only other meeting between the schools.
