ELON, N.C. -- Ryley Beaumont posted his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds as Elon routed Manchester 84-49 Monday.
Elon pushed the lead into double digits in the first five minutes and led the Division III Spartans 40-8 with 36 seconds left in the first half.
Silas Sims hit a 3-pointer at the 10-second mark to make it 40-11, still a season low by an Elon opponent as Manchester shot only 18.5 percent from the field (5 of 27).
Of the 15 Elon players who saw action, 12 scored. The Phoenix shot 50.7 percent (34 of 67) and hit 10 of 33 from long range, while Austin Hamilton had a career-high nine assists.
Sims led the Spartans (4-7) with 15 points.
