Piedmont 94, Western Carolina 43

CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) -- Kevin Martin, one of the nation's top
scorers, posted 34 points to lead Western Carolina to a 94-43 win
over Piedmont on Monday night.

Martin went 12-for-13 from the foul line and hit 4-of-6 from
3-point range. He also led the Catamounts (11-9, Southern
Conference) with six rebounds.

Also scoring double-digits for the Catamounts was Emre Atsur
with 16. Jared Outing added six rebounds.

Dustin David was the only player for the Lions (6-13) to score
double-digits with 16. He also led Piedmont with four rebounds.

Piedmont shot just 31 percent from the floor and turned the ball
over 30 times.

Western Carolina shot 62 percent from the floor, coughing up the
ball 19 times.
