Western Michigan 79, Central Michigan 63

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) -- Mike Williams scored 20 points and
collected 11 rebounds to lead Western Michigan past Central
Michigan 79-63 on Wednesday night.

The Broncos trailed 2-0 but then went on a 10-0 to take the lead
for good. Ben Reed scored 21 points for the Broncos (16-2, 9-1
Mid-American), while Anthony Kann added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Reggie Berry chipping in 13 points.

Western held a 44-22 advantage in rebounds and shot 48 percent
from the field while the Chippewas, who have now lost 10 straight,
shot 44 percent.

Central Michigan (3-17, 0-10) was led by Gerrit Brigitha with 16
points while Kevin Nelson added 12.

The Chippewas are off to their worst start in the MAC since the
1994-95 season. It was the Broncos' first win in Mount Pleasant
since 1998.
