EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Andre Barrett had 20 points and
nine assists to lead a balanced attack and Seton Hall scored its
second biggest win in its long New Jersey rivalry with Rutgers with
an 85-58 victory on Saturday night.
The 27-point margin of victory was surpassed only by a 109-81
win in 1986, and this one had the predominantly Seton Hall crowd of
15,253 chanting "We Own Jersey" during the second half.
The Pirates (15-5, 5-3 Big East) shot 54.7 percent from the
field for the game and had five players in double figures scoring
in bouncing back from a disappointing road loss at West Virginia
earlier this week.
Herve Lamizana and Ricky Shields had 14 points apiece to lead
Rutgers (13-7, 5-5). Quincy Douby added 13 for the Scarlet Knights,
who shot 32.8 percent from the field, including just 20.8 from
3-point range (5 of 24).
