    Detroit 70, Ball State 49

    MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) -- Elijah Warren scored 17 points to lead a Detroit front court that dominated Ball State, and the Titans beat the Cardinals 70-49 on Saturday.

    Warren scored five points in an 11-3 run that gave Detroit (15-10) a 47-36 lead four minutes into the second half, and Ball State (10-13) never got closer than eight points the rest of the game.

    Willie Wallace scored seven of his nine points to key a 15-3 run capped by a Jimmy Twyman 3-pointer, making it 67-46 with 4:57 remaining. Twyman finished with 12 points.

    Detroit held Ball State to just four field goals in the second half and 36 percent shooting for the game (16-for-45). The Titans outscored Ball State in the paint 36-4 for the game.

    Guard Dennis Trammell led Ball State with 13 points, Cameron Echols added 12, and Robert Owens came off the bench to score 10.
