PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Patrick Powers scored 27 points as Brown
defeated Harvard 100-83 Saturday night.
Brown (13-12, 9-3), leading 16-14 early in the first half,
opened up the game with a 29-10 run over the next 8:17 for a 45-24
lead with 6:59 to play. Powers led the rally by scoring 11 points,
including three 3-pointers.
Harvard pulled to 74-56 with 11:20 remaining, but Brown built up
its largest lead of the game when Jason Forte hit two free throws
with 8:46 to play, giving the Bears an 82-56 edge.
Forte finished the game with 24 points and 10 assists for Brown,
while Jaime Kilburn added 17 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.
Brown led 57-37 at halftime.
