Wichita State 88, Bradley 73

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) -- Paul Miller scored 14 points and pulled
down seven rebounds to lead Wichita State past Bradley 88-73
Wednesday night.

Randy Burns also had 14 points, including four 3-pointers, to
help the Shockers (11-1, 4-0 Missouri Valley Conference) remain
undefeated in conference play. P.J. Couisnard added 13 for the
Shockers, while Sean Ogirri had 11.

The Braves (9-4, 2-3) were led by Marcellus Sommerville's 26
points and eight rebounds. Tony Bennett chipped in 15 points for
Bradley, while Daniel Ruffin had 13.

The Shockers dropped in seven 3s in the first half to take a
40-30 lead into halftime. The Braves hit only 3-of-9 free throws in
the half, but stayed in the game due to Sommerville's 13 points and
five rebounds. Burns paced the Shockers with eight first-half

Wichita State shot 43 percent in the first half, while Bradley
shot 44 percent and added five 3s of its own.

The referees called a tight game in the second half, as both
teams committed a combined 20 fouls in the first eight minutes of
the half. The teams combined to shoot 47 free throws in the half.

The Braves made it 66-59 on a free throw by Sommerville with
about 10 minutes to play. The Shockers then reeled off a 16-6 run,
capped by a 3-pointer by Couisnard, to take an 82-66 lead with 3:36
remaining. Wichita State milked the clock the rest of the game.

The Shockers shot 50 percent (26-of-52) for the game, including
11-of-27 (41 percent) from 3-point range. The Braves shot 43
percent (22-of-51) for the game, including 9-of-21 3-pointers (43
