NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Greg Jenkins had a rebound and lay-in
with four-tenths of a second left to lift Iona to a 55-53 victory
over Manhattan Friday night.
Charles Henson had 17 points, Steve Burtt had 10 and Jenkins
added eight for the Gaels (9-12, 5-6 Metro Atlantic Athletic
Conference), who have won four of five.
Peter Mulligan scored 14 points, C.J. Anderson had 13 and Jason
Wingate had 12 for the visiting Jaspers (10-10, 5-7), who have lost
four of five.
Jenkins' winning basket came after Manhattan's Jeff Xavier hit a
3-point shot to tie the game at 53 with 35 seconds left.
Henson had eight points to help Iona to a 30-23 halftime lead.
