North Texas 68, Denver 66

DENTON, Texas (AP) -- Leonard Hopkins' jumper with 0.3 seconds
remaining lifted North Texas to a 68-66 victory over Denver on
Thursday night.

The winning shot by Hopkins, who led North Texas (13-11, 5-7 Sun
Belt Conference) with 18 points, ended a back-and-forth game where
neither team led by more than three.

Denver (15-9, 9-3) almost sent the game to overtime after
Hopkins' basket, as its full-court heave was tipped underneath the
basket and hit the rim before bouncing out.

Ron Harris added 16 points and Calvin Watson had 12 for North

Erik Benzel had 20 points and Yemi Nicholson had 17 for Denver,
which fell out of first place in the Sun Belt's West Division with
the loss.
