Delaware State 67, South Carolina St 65

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Aaron Williams hit a driving layup with 1.9
seconds remaining to give Delaware State a 67-65 victory over South
Carolina State on Monday.

Jahsha Bluntt scored 21 points and Bruce Davis had 13 for the
Hornets (13-13, 11-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who rallied
from a nine-point deficit in the second half.

Williams, who had six points, tied the game at 65 with two free
throws with 12 seconds left. After a South Carolina State turnover
and a timeout, Williams took the inbound pass in the backcourt and
drove into the lane for the winning basket.

The Bulldogs (15-11, 8-7) attempted a full-court pass, but
Terrance Hunter stole it to end the game.

Reserve Brian Mason led South Carolina State with 18 points on
8-of-10 shooting. Brandon Trapp scored 12 points, making 4-of-7
3-point attempts.

Terrance Hunter added 11 points for the Hornets.

South Carolina State led 31-25 at halftime. The game featured
five ties and six lead changes.
