BOSTON (AP) -- Jose Juan Barea had 21 points and seven assists to lead Northeastern to a 73-71 win over Delaware on Thursday night.

The Huskies (8-6, 4-2 Colonial) led 72-69 when Bennet Davis blocked a potential game-tying 3-pointer by Delaware's Harding Nana with 13 seconds to play. Janon Cole hit a free throw with 10 seconds left to make it a two-possession game, then the Blue Hens scored a basket with two seconds left for the final margin.

After Delaware (4-10, 0-5) closed a 13-point halftime deficit to 59-55, Barea hit a 3-pointer, a jumper in the lane, and set up Bobby Kelly for a dunk in a 9-0 run that extended the lead to 68-55.

The Blue Hens, led by Nana with 24 points and Andrew Washington with 21, twice closed within two points, but never tied it.

The Huskies trailed 14-12, but took the lead for good on Kelly's 3-pointer with 11:59 left in the first half. Northeastern closed out the half with a 28-11 run to take a 38-25 halftime lead.

Aaron Davis had 13 for the Huskies, while Cole added 12 points and eight rebounds.
