Leading 18-14 in the first half, DePaul (1-2) pulled away by outscoring the Panthers 15-0 during a 4:53 span. Draelon Burns and Chandler hit back-to-back 3's to give the Blue Demons a 31-14 lead.
DePaul extended its lead by scoring the first 10 points of the second half. Clarke had a steal and a dunk to make it 42-19 with 16:01 left in the game.
DePaul held Eastern Illinois scoreless in the second half until Bobby Catchings hit a free throw with 15:04 to go. The Panthers didn't make their first field goal of the half until Ousmane Cisse had a putback with 7:35 left.
Mike Robinson led Eastern Illinois (1-4) with 11 points. The Panthers shot just 28 percent in the game, going 7-for-26 in the first half, when they hit only two of 12 three-point attempts.
DePaul finished with 15 steals, 13 of which came in the second half.
The Blue Demons travel to Hawaii to play Kentucky in the first round of the Maui Invitational on Monday.
