Marist (7-2) jumped out to a 21-11 with 13:58 left in the first half. The Golden Griffins narrowed the lead to 26-25 with 9:22 left, helped by four consecutive 3-pointers by Chuck Harris.
Marist led 39-34 at the end of the first half.
Canisius (2-5) trailed the Red Foxes by less than 10 points for the most of the second period. But Marist started pulling away when Jordan scored on a jumper with 2:09 left, making it 72-60. Layups from Stilphen and Gerald Carter less than a minute later made it 76-62. Jordan, Will Whittington and Carter all scored in the final minute to put the game out of reach for Canisius.
Harris had 27 points for the Golden Griffins. Corey Herring had 14 and Carnell Wilson had 8.
