SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Tyler Chaney scored 21 points Tuesday, including 15 in the first half, to lead Missouri State to a 106-54 win over Evansville.
Chaney also had eight rebounds and five assists in a game in which Missouri State (13-3, 4-1 Missouri Valley Conference) jumped out to a 53-30 halftime lead. Evansville (9-8, 2-4) did not hit its first field goal until 12:30 left in the half.
It was Missouri State's fourth straight win and 15th straight at home, while Evansville has lost four in a row.
After a Nathan Bilyeu basket with 9:51 left in the game put Missouri State up 83-42, both teams played their reserves the rest of the way.
Missouri State shot 63.5 percent from the field (40-of-63), including 72.4 percent in the second half, while Evansville hit only 34.5 percent (20-of-58). Missouri State also outrebounded Evansville 43-24.
