POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) -- Charron Fisher scored 33 points and had 9 rebounds to lead Niagara in an 83-75 win over Marist Friday night.
Marist cut the Niagara lead to five points, 77-72, when Will Whittington sank two free throws with 31 seconds left.
Niagara followed up to sink six of eight free throws for the win.
The Purple Eagles opened with an 11-4 run when three of its first four shots were three-pointers. Marist came back to take an 18-16 lead when Jordan capped a 12-5 run with a layup.
Niagara responded with an 11-4 run to take a 27-22 lead on a Fisher three-pointer with less than five minutes left in the first half.
Niagara outrebounded Marist 39-29.
